There is a legend concerning locks in the sacristy doors. According to it, the locks were taken out of the doors of no longer existing castle in Chrostowa. Although the locks were moved from the castle to the sacristy backwards and forwards, they always came back to their original place in mysterious circumstances.
Next to the temple there is a wooden campanile from 17th century with a plaque commemorating the events of 15 January, 1945, when the Home Army troops fought against Nazis and managed to liberate a few hundred of Poles trapped in the church.
